ESN AIR is designed to enhance internationalization in the Adriatic-Ionian region, providing students with greater access to cross-cultural learning, academic mobility, and international career opportunities. Through a network of universities and youth organizations, this project enables students to engage in international exchange, develop intercultural competencies, and build professional networks across Europe.

Targeting young people with fewer opportunities, it emphasizes digital literacy, civic engagement, and awareness of digital rights, empowering participants to contribute to a democratic, inclusive digital landscape.

The 7Talks project by ESN Tirana is an empowering initiative aimed at enhancing youth career prospects and promoting dignified work opportunities. Supported by the National Youth Agency, the project focuses on providing young individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the professional world effectively. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, participants are equipped with practical tools and insights to boost their employability and career development. The project also emphasizes the importance of social inclusion and the transfer of best practices among volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment for growth and learning
In addition to its focus on career development, the 7Talks project by ESN Tirana also places a significant emphasis on the field of arts. The project aims to nurture the creative talents of young individuals and provide them with a platform to express themselves.
The Speak Out project aims to promote intercultural societies by engaging international youth in local communities to combat stereotypes and disprove misinformation. Specifically, the project focuses on promoting democratic participation, engaging citizens in solidarity discussions, and countering disinformation. Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the coordinating organisation, having the European Alternatives as a project partner. Speak Out: Activating European Citizenship, is part of the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, funded by the EU. Timeline: July 2024 – June 2026
A one-day cultural event organized to celebrate traditional holiday customs with a focus on sustainability. Held in partnership with TID Tirana, the event encourages community engagement and eco-friendly practices during holiday celebrations, bringing together youth to enjoy festive activities with a sustainable twist.

This project funded by EU4Culture Program, implemented by UNOPS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture highlights Durrës’s cultural heritage, promoting tourism and socio-economic development through sustainable practices. Training sessions on heritage management provide local youth with the skills to support cultural preservation and eco-tourism.

This annual event is held in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy to celebrate cultural diversity and sustainability. The event includes a Cooking Challenge for Sustainability, where young people explore eco-friendly cooking practices, promote food sustainability, and engage in discussions on global environmental issues.

This project promotes collaboration and mutual understanding between students from the EU and the Western Balkans. Through joint activities and cultural exchanges, the project focuses on regional stability, reconciliation, and alignment with European values, preparing Albanian youth for closer ties with the EU. In cooperation with RYCO, which implemented the project “EU – Western Balkan – Student Integration (EU-WB-SI)”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which is taking place across the Western Balkans 6 for a timeframe of eleven months. Timeline: December 2021 – November 2022.
This ESN Albania project aims at empowering youth in Albania’s peri-urban areas by providing them with access to Erasmus+ and global educational opportunities. Through workshops and mentoring, students are given the skills and resources needed to engage in international education, bridging the urban-rural gap and increasing career prospects. This project was organized in the framework of Tirana European Youth Capital programme, financed by National Youth Congress in partnership with Tirana Municipality.

This is a youth-led initiative focused on empowering young people through innovation and creativity in civic engagement. Conducted as part of the Tirana European Youth Capital 2022 program, the project provided training in project management and digital tools, ensuring participants can lead community-focused initiatives that promote active citizenship and democratic values.

We hosted our colleagues from Lebanese Spotlight during August 2024 for a partnership mobility. ALF in Motion scheme inspires organisations to step out of their comfort zones, showing that while the Euro-Mediterranean region may appear different, this diversity has cultivated enriched solutions and methodologies for on-groundwork. By transferring knowledge of these solutions and sharing ideas across communities, we can uplift and strengthen each other’s efforts, enabling us to create an even greater impact. ALFinMotion is a mobility programme designed to promote in-person cross-cultural collaboration by bringing together civil society entities from both shores of the Mediterranean.
